A road movie from east to west, north t...。故事要从二十世纪三十年代的江南水乡——乌镇说起，自幼成为吴家少爷家祺陪读的张忠良和丫环素芬青梅竹马，感情甚笃。吴老爷一心向道，娶了八房姨太只为练成“九转还阳大功”。因为当年强占了儿子家祺的心上人紫纶，父子二人反目成仇，致使家祺离家出走。大管家吴宝联合四姨太几度暗害紫纶，紫纶想逃离吴家却连累素芬遭毒打后患上失语症，为了不让素芬重蹈覆辙地成为吴家九姨太，紫纶行刺不成被绑上了绞刑架，幸而被及时赶回的家祺救下。最后，一场大火成全了忠良和素芬……。
