本片描述了香港反黑组的组员惩治罪恶的英勇事迹以及他们个人感情经历的点点滴滴。人称“筋肉人”的反黑组探员阿喜（吴毅将饰）立功无数、屡破奇案，但却因脾气倔犟，向来专横而和同事们诸多不顺。刚刚加入的康仔（陈浩民饰）更是对阿喜诸多怨言，甚至想申请调组。后来一起办案多了，反黑组内部终于彼此了解，一团和气。反黑组内也有不少情事，一次上司阿凡（黎耀祥饰）结识了卖鱼女阿娇，两人成了欢喜冤家；而阿弟（邵美琪饰）更是一直暗恋阿喜，他们在工作上、感情上正经历着一次又一次的考验。。依山傍水的百乐大酒店本来有着良好声誉，就在举行周年店庆之机，董事长陆广发（岳跃利 饰）因老战友李荣豪（高曙光 饰）对其酒店的不良用心气病在庆典的主席台上。妻子何亚君（张兰 饰）一时乱了方寸，儿子小帆年幼指望不上，情急之下她想到了原酒店副总林重光（于小伟 饰），马上派人将其请来，经过与李荣豪的讨价还价，委以林总经理重任。VIP经理童馨（韩雪 饰）有意协助林的工作，伹由于李荣豪从中作梗，林重光功亏一篑，就在这时，童謦联系到了昔日结识的管理天才文泽楷（丁子峻 饰），最终取得酒店保卫战的胜利。在庆功宴上，林重光帮文泽楷兄妹团圆。李荣豪发现情形不妙，开展实施新的龌龊手段，他派人袭击林重光，并同时联系国外酒店管理集团，至此，文泽楷看清了李荣豪的真实面目......。SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。
