Through it all, friendship is the cornerstone for surviving this time of life – whether one’s puberty...。夏天明（杨盛业饰）是一个不会演戏的普通人，由于生活的压力机缘巧合进了剧组当跟组演员，没经验没人脉的他屡屡碰壁，在一次次失败是决定放弃演戏，失意时认识了剧组的化妆助理曾晓晓（江易轩饰）；在晓晓的鼓励下重拾信心专心研究演技，不懈的努力下终于得到了导演的赞赏，接到了举足轻重的角色，而正当他喜出望外之时缺得知自己被封杀……。影片根据真实事件改编，也受到约翰·奥斯邦小说的影响，描写在一战前夕，一名奥地利军人不择手段向上爬、最后自我毁灭的历程。雷德尔上校家境贫寒，又是犹太人和同性恋，他需要把这些全部伪装起来，才能在奥匈帝国的军队里步步高升。但他再怎么压抑真实的自我，有人还是把他当成贸然闯进他人世界的局外人。。
