英国独立恐怖电影导演保罗海耶兹作品，描述17世纪初一位年轻女子受到神秘的修女院院长的庇护，入住与世隔绝的修女院。年轻女子在院中开始经历到恐怖幻觉，她才惊觉等待她的不是救赎，而是骇人魔物。A young woman (Rosemary Wilcox) is haunted by pop-Freudian dreams of her recently murdered psychologist (and lover), so for some reason she goes to a resort where the psychologist liked to hang out and becomes involved with a gangster (Adolf Celli) and the strange female resort owner (Alida Valli).
