However, everything works o...。故事描述蛙女是一个十三、四岁的船家女，蛙女的亲爹是地下党，因善于潜水，被骗入旧上海的“黑龙头家”，却意外地与亲生母亲（宋佳扮演）相见，原来“黑龙头”刘铁生就是蛙女母亲的后夫，记忆中张铁生的弟弟张铁福特坏。刘铁生要蛙女在黄浦江底打捞一只沉了十年的银箱，而这银箱又关系着六百个工人的命运。蛙女为了不使银箱落入刘铁生手里，机灵地跟他们展开了斗争，经历了许多惊险的艰难曲折，最后终于逃出了魔掌，把银箱打捞上来……[。该剧的主人公是一名来自湖南农村的姑娘小菊，她原本是到深圳与未婚夫结婚，结果却接到了未婚夫几天前出车祸去世的噩耗。独自留在异乡的小菊虽然到处碰壁，却凭着乐观的态度不断奋斗，最终找到了自己的位置和爱情。。
