The judicial system hides behind claims of insufficient evidence to prosecute crimes, while journalists are the ones who provide such evide...。1996年8月的一天，从壹岐飞往长崎的东洋航空402次航班在经过一片积雨云时突遭意外。一阵神秘的强光过后，该班机既没有坠毁，也未迫降，就这么凭空消失了。事后相关部门动员了强大的搜查力量，却始终没找到该班机的下落，当政府认定所有机乘人员已经遇难之际，唯有看似疯狂的物理教授加藤久彦（大杉涟 饰）宣称402航班只是暂时消失，并预言飞机将在2006年的2月10日重现。当然作为当事人、相关者却无法如此乐观，东洋航空的服务人员黛康子（小林聪美 饰）的恋人木内哲也（山本太郎 饰）便是402航班的副机长，她也曾作为安抚人员和家属们打交道。预言的当天，消失的航班竟然真的出现，它的身上究竟发生了什么故事？ 本片根据大石英司的同名小说改编。。
